Chamber Ensembles
Chamber ensembles are open to all UMass Amherst students (not just Music majors), subject to auditions held at the beginning of each semester.
All chamber ensembles appear in concert on campus several times a year. Chamber ensembles also perform off-campus at area special events and school outreach concerts.
OPUS ONE CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

A conductorless Chamber Orchestra, featuring varied repertoire from Baroque through Contemporary periods.
DOUBLE REED ENSEMBLE
Fredric T. Cohen, director
Oboists and bassoonists perform original works for double reed instruments.
TROMBONE CHOIR
Greg Spiridopoulos, director
Performs a variety of music written or arranged for trombones.
CHAMBER JAZZ ENSEMBLES
Jazz Faculty and Jazz Graduate students, directors/coaches
Multiple ensembles perform standard and student-written materials in concert and weekly recital settings.
CELLO CHOIR
Edward Arron, faculty coordinator
Prof. Arron and his undergraduate and graduate cello students perform together. Performances include collaborations with guest artists and additional faculty.
VIOLA CHOIR

Undergraduate and graduate violists rehearse and perform together.
GRADUATE STRING QUARTET PROGRAM
