Burns Maxey

Lecturer/Marketing Manager

Burns Maxey has an extensive background in non-profit marketing, arts management, and programming. Previously, Burns was the Director of Creative and Digital Marketing at New England Public Media. She has served on numerous non-profit boards. Currently, as President of CitySpace, Burns is dedicated to preserving historic Old Town Hall and maintaining it as a vital and affordable center for the arts in Easthampton, MA. Burns has worked for the city of Easthampton’s planning department as the Arts Coordinator for Easthampton City Arts. There she spearheaded citywide cultural programming and placemaking and community engagement initiatives. As an artist, Burns’ work focuses on place and people through visual storytelling through multimedia installation, performance, and visual arts. Burns attended Bard College and holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design.
